The South all-stars beat the North 5-1 in the first of two MAC 4A/5A/6A fastpitch all-star games at Newton County
Emily Todd put the South ahead 2-1 with a fourth inning RBI double, followed by Jasmine Shelby’s RBI single for a 3-1 lead. Pontotoc’s Brooke
Denton grounded into a tough-luck double play in the bottom of the inning with two on and the North scored twice on two sixth-inning errors to pad the lead.
Whitt had two of the North's six hits. The team had five errors.
