As a guard, Green was the Warriors’ leading scorer last year as a junior, averaging 18.7 points per game. He is averaging 22 points through three games this season.
“Josh is a very good shooter,” Ginn said, “but he also can put it on the floor. He’s a good slasher who can get to the basket. He’s also a good defender.”
Green, who received interest from Mississippi Valley State, is the first Pontotoc player under Jon Ginn to sign with a four-year NCAA school directly out of high school. Former Pontotoc MVP Gary Dixon signed with Southeastern Louisiana after playing at Itawamba Community College.
