The Arizona Diamondbacks traded away an All-Star pitcher for the second time in a week on Friday, sending right-hander Edwin Jackson to the Chicago White Sox for rookie Dan Hudson and prospect David Holmberg. Arizona traded three-time All-Star Dan Haren to Anaheim for left-hander Joe Saunders and three other players last week.
The Jets have signed coach Rex Ryan to a two-year contract extension, and signed general manager Mike Tannenbaum to a new five-year deal -- keeping both with the franchise through the 2014 season. The team announced both deals Friday, two days before it reports for training camp in Cortland, N.Y. Tannenbaum's deal was signed last month.
Baltimore Ravens cornerback Domonique Foxworth will miss the 2010 season with a knee injury, further weakening a secondary already depleted by injuries.
